简介：民国24年，香港红歌星白若薇携助理吴韵芬侍女蓝兰由赵亨利带往上海发展事业。在前往上海的游轮上大学生何志昂目睹白若薇后念念不忘，在上海街头看到白若薇演出海报后在剧院后台和白若薇成功结识，自此展开追求；另一方面赵亨利与上海大汉奸狄四虎准备从事大烟走私生意，需通过由3个结拜兄弟龙克强尤仕海杜清风当家的大利洋行的码头，在赵亨利安排的交际酒会上白若薇与杜清风互相倾心。与此同时酒会上的不少大佬都想占有白若薇，白若薇自此开启噩梦，在各方势力角逐下杜清风被擒，白若薇为了搭救心爱的杜清风亲身上阵，导致遭受了狄四虎、洪福的轮番囚禁，在一次被黑帮小弟强暴后白若薇杀死了施暴者但自此精神失常，不久便脱离众人视线沦为灰头土脸的女乞丐，众人遍寻芳踪未果。很快抗战爆发，何志昂也回香港与青梅竹马邝亚莉成婚继承了家业。多年后战火平息，杜清风手下沦为车夫的忠心哑仆黑豹在无意间发现了白若薇，这之后众人陆续团聚上海，何志昂将白若薇送往疗养院治疗，不久白若薇便康复，与杜清风等众多故人再次相聚。…
