天扬拘捕了阿邦与Hana，并指控他们杀人。Hana自称不知道阿萍已死，又指忙于处理去台湾的事，所以连新闻都没有看。警员指有人曾见到阿邦与阿萍打起来，阿邦驳称双方只是吵架。天扬又提到案发时有人见到Hana在阿萍家中出现，而且在凶器上有她的指纹。Hana仍坚称自己是无辜的，但她承认在案发之前曾回过家，但只是拿取证件。天扬发现掷物犯人阿文与童日来看Hana，阿文得知警方怀疑她杀了阿萍后，情绪非常激动，并强调Hana不会杀人。天扬等人抽丝剥茧，发现阿邦的嫌疑极大，于是主力向他审问。刚巧高空掷物案的线索来到，天扬看了报告大感惊讶。天扬来到酒吧，见到贵成也在，贵成提起掷物案凶手落网，并表示自己也认识此人。天扬把凶手犯案的过程和口供说出来，泰然觉得凶手是因为发洩所以才掷物。泰然见过Hana与阿邦，觉得阿邦没有可能为Hana而去杀人，因为他发现阿邦根本不着紧Hana。这时天扬收到警员来电，指已找到阿邦的不在场证据。天扬仍然无法得知凶手是谁，非常苦恼，泰然希望天扬再次审问阿文，而自己则在房间的另一边看着。发现阿文患失忆症天扬问阿文回家时的细节时，阿文却忘记了。泰然从心理学角度分析，指阿文拥有杀人动机，虽然天扬不同意阿文是嫌疑犯，但指阿文被审问时对很多细节的印象模糊。泰然觉得阿文患了创伤后遗症，所以当晚发生的事，他已完全忘记。泰然询问Hana有关阿文的过去，Hana指阿文被母亲看管得很严，就算很琐碎的事都会被大骂一顿。她又称阿文以前曾拍过拖，可是每次皆被阿萍棒打鸳鸯，后来阿文也再没有谈过恋爱。这时童日指阿文曾向童月表白，童月即道出当日情况。天扬破案获得称赞天扬与泰然带阿文回家，希望可恢复他的记忆，泰然一直问阿文关于阿萍的往事，但阿文都没有表示不快，而且对母亲显得非常尊重。可是，当他一见到自己送给童月的公仔时，情绪突然大变。阿文开始记得起当晚发生的事，天扬与泰然亦终于知道事件真相。天扬在短时间内连破两案，上司高进昇非常满意。天扬坦言今次能破大案，泰然居功至伟。他希望日后如有大案，可邀请泰然相助，但进昇却不置可否。
