第3集:佟林与安凤霞分手

房三大言不惭地来到佟家，看见佟燕一个人住在这里后，他对佟家的房子又打起了歪脑筋。从家里出来的佟林不好意思再麻烦自己的好哥们老田，他背着佟美来到宜安县城里的一间破庙中住下。老田劝佟林到他家去住，佟林说什么也不肯，白天佟林骑着三轮车载着佟美上街收破烂，晚上父女两个在透风漏雨的庙里居住。

佟燕找了一个烧锅炉的工作，为了出去工作，她把房浩锁在自家的桌子旁，房浩不停地哭着喊妈妈，虽然佟燕很心疼孩子，但为了生计她不得不这样做，否则房浩一个人在家，她更是不放心。佟林买了鸡蛋送来佟燕家，他听到屋子里有房浩的哭声，于是佟林进去将绳子解开，把房浩抱回了自己居住的庙中。佟燕回到家没看见房浩很是着急，她跑到庙中看见熟睡的房浩，一颗心才落了地。佟林让佟燕安心地去上班，自己可以每天照顾房浩。

佟林在街上遇到派出所的民警，民警表示他们帮佟林联系到了孤儿院，对佟美产生感情的佟林却不愿意再把这个孩子送出去，他请求民警帮佟美上户口，自己打算抚养这个孩子长大。安凤霞得知佟林要抚养佟美后很是生气，她不明白两人明明可以生育，为何要养这个来路不明的孩子。安凤霞让佟林在两人的婚姻与佟美之间做选择，佟林选择了佟美。佟美的户口正式落在佟林的名下，成为佟林名副其实的女儿，佟林劝安凤霞嫁个好人家，别再让他拖累，安凤霞哭着跟佟林说再见。

佟燕让房三尽快把她的户口迁回来，否则自己无法给房浩上户口，不能让房浩去上学。佟燕答应房三，只要他能把户口迁回来，自己就让他留下来住。老田将自家院中的大树砍掉，计划着在院子里盖一间房，让佟林和佟美搬过来住。即使老田的妻子田秀琴万分阻拦，老田还是给佟林佟美盖了一间房。在自家三哥的介绍下，安凤霞嫁给一个共产党员。安凤霞给佟林写了一封告别信，并把当年佟林送给她的手表还给了佟林。
