昙宗死了，少林寺的内院众僧在给昙宗做法事，闭门送葬。王世充得到了确切消息，现在只有张天保是王世充最大的心病。殊不料，张天保找上门来了。质问王世充，怀疑王世充才是真正的凶手。王仁义赶过来，见到张天保就气从心生，王世充挑拨王仁义让他们厮杀。前两次被他打败，又因为玉凤老是把他放在心上，因爱生恨，王仁义招招都恨不得把张天保置于死地。桓法嗣找到王玉凤，告诉王玉凤无名此刻就在太尉府中。张天保毒伤刚愈，眼看不敌王仁义，王玉凤突然出来带着张天保离开太尉府。王玉凤再次询问无名的身份。他不承认自己就是张天保转身走了。少林寺中方丈正要点火焚毁昙宗的法体，这时昙宗动了动醒过来了。原来昙宗为张天保吸毒疗伤，两种毒药在体内以毒攻毒相互抵消，反而慢慢的互相化解了毒性。得知昙宗又活过来了，王世充非常震怒，派王仁则去少林寺捉拿昙宗。又利用王仁义对张天保的恨，派他去除掉张天保。王仁义找到张天保，一心要除掉他，张天保在打斗中看到王仁义脖子上的伤疤，不愿与他再斗下去，虚晃一招逃走。王仁义的追杀，让张天保更加相信是王世充一直在骗自己。王仁则来到少林寺声称昙宗是张家灭门惨案的元凶，要缉拿昙宗归案。王仁则学了少林功夫以后，一直想与昙宗比试比试，今天得到机会，更是不能放过。他以少林弟子要挟昙宗和自己比试。昙宗功力还没有恢复，而武功招数又悉数被王仁则掌握。也就不敌王仁则。王仁则押解昙宗到洛阳去，路上突然窜出黑衣蒙面人，此人正是张天保的打扮，冲出来就要杀了昙宗报仇，王仁则喝退手下远远的看着。昙宗带着夹板脚镣，手脚被束缚，眼见就要遇害。真的张天保冲出来，击退蒙面人，去追踪冒充自己的人。
