慈禧(米雪 饰)与恭亲王打赌，把自行车放於太和门，各宫女太监虽然知学懂骑後会有丰厚奖金，但亦没人敢尝试学习驾驶。添寿得知此事後蠢蠢欲动，但连英语带双关地劝添寿不要卷入太后与恭亲王之间的争斗漩涡中。连英到敬事房时竟发现添寿与众太监一起赌钱。添寿连英当众争执三顺阻止连英带走添寿，更说添寿已欠下大笔赌债。连英见三顺等人捉著添寿殴打，情急下表示要告发众人聚赌及放高利贷，三顺只有无奈放走两人，但明言必会报仇。连英心痛添寿行差踏错，添寿迫於无奈说出家乡大旱，急需银両接济家人，添寿更埋怨连英未有利用与德海的关系收受贿赂，以致令自己也没法出人头地大富大贵。连英激动得大骂添寿，两人不欢而散。三顺阻止添寿治疗连英打点瓦片时，发现瓦片竟轻薄非常，更得知购买瓦片的官员太监早已中饱私囊，用偷工减料的瓦片作修补之用，连英听得只得摇头叹息。连英忽然惊醒添寿正在瓦顶上工作，而来不及提醒他时，添寿已从瓦顶上跌下。添寿因腿部骨折而被送到御药房，孙御医说自己不擅长正骨需请黎医师协助。为救添寿连英犯险三顺这时与黎医师一同出现，他更表明若添寿不还清赌债，便不会让黎医师救治添寿。连英情急下决放手一搏，到太和门学骑自行车。连英跌跌撞撞下终於成功驾驭自行车，慈禧金口难收，只得让恭亲王开办天文算学馆。连英急忙拿了十両奖金回御药房救添寿，终让他能及时正骨。德海出宫觅妹消息慈禧厉声地斥责连英，连英心知难逃一劫，决定豁出去大揭宫中贪污贿赂的祸害，慈禧未料连英有情有义，终饶过连英。多生为替死去的太监朋友出宫外找小刀刘(郑恕生 饰)赎回「宝贝」子孙根，德海更趁机在外打听失散了的妹妹得如的下落。德海与连英到妓寨打听妹妹下落，终在妓女小钗(蒋家旻 饰)口中获得有关得如的消息。小钗指得如已下嫁商人为妾，德海听後大感安慰。慈禧亲王关系改善小钗欲与德海欢好时却被他推开，令小钗大感愕然。慈禧召见恭亲王，恭亲王见慈禧所用的西洋钟损坏，於是为她修理，慈禧更回想起当年往事。慈禧在御花园见同治帝任性横蛮，气得罚他到打扫处历练一番。
