忠孝以文少爷的身份给苏荣昌一种药，让他在日本军营的马棚里给马下药。苏荣昌借着皇协军的身份潜进马棚，马吃了被下药的草后陆陆续续显出像是感染了瘟疫而死的状态。

大眼装扮成兽医，在苏荣昌的带领下也潜入日军，诊断出“死亡”马匹得的是一种秋蝗瘟疫，只要感染的马基本不治，而且这种病还会传染，他故意提出应该把马拉到远一点的地方，深埋，再撒上石灰。日本人相信，并任命大眼为皇协军，让他操办此事。马匹顺利被偷运出城。

苏荣昌给文少爷送马，献马之时，苏荣昌刻意讨好文少爷进贡玉镯一枚，说是爷爷的爷爷从宫里传下来的皇家宝物，忠孝拆穿宝物来处，宫里都是太监怎么会有苏荣昌的祖宗。

苏荣昌见势不妙驾马逃走，忠孝追上，告诉苏荣昌，他的副官大海此时已经烧了日军的马棚。果然，日军定为苏荣昌造反，将全力追击他。苏荣昌自知回不去了。

文少爷亮出是忠孝的真实身份，苏荣昌欲与他鱼死网破，二人于水中搏斗，几个回合下来，忠孝徒手将苏荣昌干掉。

王连长和忠孝汇合，忠孝笑说王连长抓住叛徒苏荣昌，可以跟日本人请功去，王连长拔枪自伤，作出追击叛徒受伤的状态，好让日本人相信。

自此，腰山镇成了蒲阳庄八路军的桥头堡，有王连长在，就是鬼子身边的炸弹，忠孝安心离开。

忠孝接了四福嫂子和儿子仇儿回到防区，赵四福嘴上开训，但对忠孝又一次违纪给予了包容，大眼拿出从日本人那儿抢来的照相机给大家拍照。众人欢聚，四福嫂子唱起歌来。
