齐昭特意给马大壮此行配了两个助手，肥猫和皮猴，马大壮嫌弃他们两个不中用，齐昭告诉他此举大有深意。贺亮才正在观看保安团操练，见两个士兵有气无力、哈欠连天，一问之下才知道两人染上了烟瘾，贺亮才早已立下规矩，绝不允许保安团士兵抽大烟，因此立即开除了两人。这时，士兵来报，抓住了三个奸细，贺亮才一看，原来是马大壮和肥猫、皮猴。马大壮开口就向贺亮才借军火，令贺亮才和士兵们笑歪了嘴，等到马大壮说明借军火的缘由，贺亮才的态度立马来了个一百八十度的转弯，命士兵们赶快松绑，摆上饭菜招待几人，肥猫嫌弃饭菜简单，嚷嚷着要吃烧鸡，贺亮才见肥猫好拉拢，便悄悄将肥猫请到酒楼，好吃好喝的招呼他，从他嘴里知道了不少黑风岭的大事小情，听说上官燕原来是逃去黑风岭给齐昭当了压寨夫人，贺亮才火冒三丈，恨齐昭为什么总跟他过不去，总抢他贺亮才的女人。随后，贺亮才给肥猫十几块大洋，叫他做贺亮才在黑风岭的耳目，不论黑风岭有什么举动都要向他汇报。贺亮才和几个心腹一合计，本来剿匪是保安团份内之事，既然此次齐昭愿意为他们卖命，何乐而不为，况且老金沟金三炮仗着地势优越，胆敢不给保安团交保护费，这次正好杀鸡给猴看。黄沙堡黄保长家，贺亮才来此密会齐昭，贺亮才问起齐昭攻打老金沟的计划，齐昭告诉他，他进山侦察的时候正好遇到以前一个朋友在那里淘金，从他那里知道了一条密道，可以直通老金沟的城堡，他们准备从河道悬崖边摸进老金沟，再从密道进入城堡。听完齐昭的计划，贺亮才认为可行，军火也可以卖给齐昭，条件是保安团和黑风岭一起攻打老金沟，俘虏全归保安团，财物两人五五分成，齐昭答应了，但告诉贺亮才军火的钱从自己的那份分成里面扣。玉瑶正在院子里哄孩子，贺亮才走来逗早早，顺便告诉了玉瑶和齐昭合作打老金沟的事情，玉瑶怕哥哥又对付齐昭，告诉他一定要保住齐昭的命，因为齐昭是他贺亮才的良心。为了对付老金沟的土炮，贺亮才特意花高价从果胜督军那里买来三门德国山炮，一营长进言，灭了老金沟，正是剿灭黑风岭的最佳时机，贺亮才摇头说还不是时候。黑风岭上，齐昭叫来了肥猫，问肥猫是不是当了贺亮才的眼线，肥猫一听事情败露，赶忙跪下求饶，齐昭却告诉他叫他继续当叛徒，但是只能把自己想让贺亮才知道的消息透露给他。入夜时分，齐昭带弟兄们依计摸进老金沟，保安团也来到老金沟城堡前，贺亮才命士兵们率先开炮，德国山炮瞬间将金三炮的几门土炮炸成了渣滓，但贺亮才怕浪费炮弹，命士兵们打几发炮弹后就原地待命，等待齐昭动手。齐昭带着兄弟们找到了密道入口，摸进了城堡内，命肥猫和皮猴守着秘道口，没想到肥猫和皮猴抓住了准备偷偷溜走的金三炮小妾，逼她带他们找到了金三炮的卧室。
