东阳醒觉重新振作东阳晚上醉得一塌胡涂，竟到药铺前要求买打胎药；春分打水给朗月洗面，却发现朗月晕倒地上。春分欲搵医生却被阻止，因朗月怕医生验出胎儿是在东阳上出外营商时所得；春分回房时发现东阳醉在台阶上也不愿回房，尽力开解下东阳终於醒悟，明白自己不是，主动回房中陪伴朗月。早上，东阳焦玉表示，自己所为只是为了朗月，更说将不会酗酒，努力支持宋家，焦玉听後大表安慰。族叔主动交给东阳另一笔钱；令他非常感动，而东阳更说出希望在族中大会中上再集资云云。族叔对东阳此举总按捺不住，向东阳坦白，其实根本没有人支持东阳，一直以来都是东升将钱以其他人身分交予他。东阳听後大受打击，直奔人前与东升扭打起来，更在人前说出了自己不能人道的消息，令众人震惊。朗月往找焦玉，却无意中发现东阳交托之打胎药，不禁对朗月恶言相向；釐贵叔带同族人到长房问责，除以东阳之言外，更说出东阳买打胎药之事。朗月噤若寒蝉，幸得焦玉力压众人，暂将时件拖延。焦玉欲要东阳和朗月逃离阎家铺；但却己发现朗月已经失去踪影；焦玉等四出寻找，却发现釐贵等亦步亦趋。天光大白，大家终发朗月倒在田中．．．

春分不明朗月为何自杀，因替朗月办後事时，已发觉到朗月根本没有身孕；明凤解释朗月可能欲振兴长房而陷入幻想之中。万曦往找国业，欲将宋家之事大事化小，更说出想将来的儿子过继宋家；国业听後心中有所打算。东阳与东升在朗月坟前互吐心事。东阳坦言欲放下一切跳离此地，更将和朗月共同开垦之田烧去，一走了之。
