在穆德惠(牛飘 饰)精心布置下很快找到一具刚刚得瘟疫死亡的寡妇尸体，伍连德(温兆伦 饰)立即赶往死者家中，正解剖死者尸体，被村民发现，愤怒的村民投掷石块击打伍连德，混乱中，穆德惠保护着伍连德逃出傅家甸，解剖失败。伍连德心有不甘，想趁天黑继续前往傅家甸解剖寡妇尸体，眼前一片火光，寡妇家已是一片火海。

此时沈家发现商会为防疫的捐款丢失，立刻报警，慕德惠怀疑是沈家账房所为……

伍连德仍然需要尸体解剖来寻找鼠疫源头，但始终没有找到合适的尸体，于是求助修起(杨保亮 饰)帮忙。此时老乌吉(栾长志 饰)的病情加重，在众人的劝说下，老中医修起答应冒险帮忙。

沈会长(王虎诚 饰)带女儿沈秀莲(金丰 饰)拜伍连德为师，伍连德爽快地答应了，沈秀莲高兴地跑到丽达(奥丽娅 饰)家告诉好友这一好消息。伍连德出现在哈尔滨让丽达又惊又喜，终于找到自己爱慕的人。
