巡逻的日军抓到了送舒秀和袁天杰回去的药铺伙计，在樱子的逼问和严刑拷打下，得知了中共的隐藏点，樱子和中岛马上带兵去袭，何成休和林霄向大家讲出了自己的真实身份是中共党员，并给大家看了党证，解释了以前没有暴露身份的原因，舒秀和袁天杰恍然大悟，引娣和桑老叔也觉得以前对何成休有所误解，同时大家也知道了林霄是一位从苏联回来的武器方面的专家。从杨炳华同志牺牲以后，大家感觉又有了希望，一致同意舒秀的建议，由何成休同志继续领导大家同敌人战斗。日军包围了桐家湾15号，何成休赶紧组织大家撤退，危机时刻桑老叔用身体顶住门板，挡住敌人的进攻，身上多处中弹，但确为大家争取了撤退的时间，又一位老人为了救大家牺牲了，同志们痛苦万分。在何成休的带领下，暂时到三家巷居酒屋落脚。怀孕的引娣生病急需用禁售的盘尼西林救治，袁天杰和林霄去日军医院偷药，意外发现叛徒余承南（土蜂）还活着，袁天杰和林霄的行为被暗中的樱子发现，做了布置，当袁天杰和林霄返回来准备杀死余承南时，病床上的人竟换成了中岛，中岛开枪将袁天杰打伤，林霄扔出一颗小型炸弹，乱中逃出，但袁天杰被捕了。日军情报部门的野川雄少将到了上海，欢迎宴会席间樱子看到了一同来的美惠子，就请求野川雄把美惠子留给自己，野川雄安排了大力士伊田钢与樱子的搏击，樱子以小博大靠智慧战胜了伊田钢，野川雄很高兴，他告诉樱子这次来上海是要找到一位名叫“丽莎”的武器专家，帮助研制大日本帝国一直没有成功的特殊武器4S-90，完成日本拥有世界最尖端武器的宏伟计划。
