戏园长看出了周旅长的太太对京剧演员杨喜奎(谭正岩 饰)的爱慕之心，提醒杨喜奎不要和周太太(于小慧 饰)(于小惠 饰)走的过近，最好尽快成亲，了却心事和麻烦。国民政府警察找车场老板黄三爷(方征 饰)讨要剩下的钱财，黄三爷以小成子死了拒以门外。好久没见的赵大爷(姜华 饰)回来了，院里的老小大家都很担心，赵大爷很感动。孙新(李大海 饰)写了一篇文章，揭露了黑旋风(张会忠 饰)及其后台警察局长李义(马君 饰)和国民党的接收大员姜仁(马文忠 饰)的汉奸背景，讲述了地痞流氓恶霸黑旋风和李义迫害程宝庆的事实。文章一经发表，就引起了波动，引起了国民党接收大员姜仁的大怒。无奈决定要请出程宝庆使其言论不攻自破，并加紧准备追捕孙新。丁四(杨平友 饰)受周旅长太太的委托将做好的布料送与戏子杨老板手中，被杨老板拒绝，回到家提及此事并提及杨老板给予自己报酬之事，使院里在一起吃饭的大春(温文 饰)起了猜疑。晚饭后，丁四再次为二嘎子(魏翰林 饰)学徒的事与程宝庆起了争执，情急之下赵大爷出面解围，道出了二嘎子不适合学唱的事实，并同意将二嘎子收为自己徒弟。孙来喜(祝士彬 饰)发现大娟子(付于幸子 饰)还没有回家，为了钱财和定金很是着急。找到了刘巡长(张双利 饰)希望能私下找找。丁四回到车行得知小成子已故的消息，痛苦不已。而李义再次找到了车场的黄三爷索要钱财并核实小成子的死因，黄三爷再次以钱了事。黑旋风再次来到妓院讨要捐钱并希望得到红牌云翠，无奈下，妓院妈妈口头应允。孙新联系上了西山的革命党，很开心，有了力量，有了主心骨。
